Girls Who S.L.A.Y. (self love and yoga) is a week long camp where girls from ages 11-14 will explore yoga, mindfulness, self-expression, nutrition, and self-care techniques in safe, supportive environment with local yoga teacher and 2017 Best of Philly winner Adriana Adelé in partnership with Roots2Rise, local nonprofit dedicated to bringing yoga to Philly. This camp will teach ways to tap into your strength, engage your heart, and shine your light bright enough to slay anything in your way. Campers will be introduced to multiple styles of yoga from the more traditional to Namaslay yoga (yoga set to today’s hip hop and r&b!). We also have a network of women who are currently slaying the local health and wellness worlds and are coming in to share their star power by teaching us about healthy relationships with self and others, how to DYI all natural self care products (like a body scrub or bath soak), food as fuel and nutrition tips, and a fun meditative beading workshop. Studies have shown that yoga can help improve self-esteem, focus, memory, behavioral self-regulation, reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, and improve overall health and well being in kids.
Fee: $50.00 for the week
